“Practicing What I Preach” is Tiring but Rewarding

You may remember that I took a “play” break in mid-July to produce a staged reading of my play, The Secrets of Brown and White

I am thrilled to report that storytelling is a powerful tool:

  • We had close to 140 people over 2 days – a large audience for an independent staged reading.

  • They gave the play and the actors a standing ovation at both performances.

  • We have requests for the script from a few theatres

  • We have anecdotes of people who came both days because they loved it so much and people who reported they couldn’t stop thinking of it for several days afterwards.

  • My director and I are in sync with taking it to a full production at a regional theatre.

Once again thanks to everyone who came or donated. And thanks to the rest of you for your grace in sticking with this newsletter while I reported about it and took a break.

We are back in the office catching up on marketing initiatives, taking some afternoons off to enjoy the end of summer, but we are booking into October.

What fun interactive and memorable workshop do you need?
